Kiwanis International is a “family” of organizations that focuses on teaching young children about the responsibilities of good citizenship, community service and building future leaders. Our Student Leadership Programs have a variety of ways to serve their community while learning leadership, collaborative, and organizational skills.
In 2022-2023, Builders Club students lovingly cleaned cemetery stones at Brookside Cemetery; raised funds to buy toys and activities for Mott Children’s Hospital, and brightened the lives of seniors through their Adopt-A-Grandparent event. During the summer they made cards for incoming new students to help them feel welcome at their new schools. Key Club students held their annual installation banquet in April where they honored the graduating seniors and welcomed new officers. Many Kiwanis members were in attendance to help celebrate. KKids also had some cool programs this year, including making a rock garden.
Youth Clubs
The Kiwanis Club of Tecumseh sponsors three youth clubs:
KKids – Elementary School
The Builders Club – Middle School
Key Club – High School
Our sponsored youth groups independently initiate service projects and community service activities throughout the school year. Our club works through an adviser in each youth organization to coordinate our participation with their activities or to have them work with us on major service programs and fundraisers.
We are so proud of our youth groups and their accomplishments which make our community a much better place to live. The activities listed below are a small portion of the many projects they are involved in:
